I'll take one as well please if there are still some available in the batch.
Would definitely want a mk2 one as well if they become available in due course.
Thanks

Re: Driving the dream?
I admit my spectacles were made in the late 80's and have a tint of finest rose, my commute is less than 10 miles and I have secure parking when I get there. All reasons why it works for me but can't for others. Mind you the concept of appreciation rather than depreciation whilst using a car is ...

Re: Driving the dream?
I've come to this thread late, but thought I'd add my own thoughts. I'm lucky to own 2 storms - a mk2 Scirocco and a Corrado. They feel very different cars, the older being the back lane hero and the latter a consummate mile muncher. The 3 biggest differences are the power steering, brakes and sound ...

Just couldn't say no! Gave the storm a great run out too. Drove all 120 miles back home with a big grin on my face and the peddle to the metal. Happy days, I love these cars!

Re: 1991 Mk2 Reiger GTO Scirocco - NOW SOLD
Evening!
When I was a student back in 1991 I had two posters of fine art on my wall. One was the girl in the tennis dress scratching her bum. The other was the Rieger Scirocco GTO. I never will meet the girl, and if I did I doubt she'd look as good now. As for the Rieger, wow, the 25 year itch ...

Importing a car from the continent
I've got my eye on a couple of cars for sale in Germany. One is a full runner, with a current TUV certificate in place. The other is basically a restoration job, a rolling shell.
Does anyone have a contact for someone who could potentially get these back to the UK for me? The running one is not so ...

Re: Reiger Mk2 Scirocco on ebay
I've asked the question, and it's currently a non-runner. The work was done several years ago, so given the price is over £3k could be an expensive punt. It'll be interesting to see where it ends up. It's only 5 miles up the road and I've been trying to arrange to see it. Hopefully this weekend

Re: Deja Vu All Over Again - '83 GL
Wow, great find. This bought back some memories. I bought an identical car back in 1992. Papyrus green GL with the beige velour interior (well comfy seats), 150k miles for £550. Put on another trouble free 50k miles in 3 years then part ex'd it for £1,200 against a mk2 Golf GTI. Great to see another ...
