Re: Cylinder head
£106 inc vat which I thought was pretty impressive for the work they've done. They turned it round in less than 24 hours for me as well.

Re: Cylinder head
Was leaning that way. So I took it to my local engine rebuild and maching specialist, they seamed fairly confident they could reweld and machine back to improve the contact area for the gasket. Quoted a reasonable rate and should have it turned round by close of play tomorrow.

Cylinder head
Right, so I've been chasing an overheating problem for some time, it's never boiled over, just temperature gauge all the way to the right and flashing red light. Anyway, changed all sorts and still same. I had a feeling the coolant system was over pressurising as I seamed to be chasing leaks, as ...

Re: Temp sensors
Ive had a look today and there is no metal flange on the side of the block, mine is plastic with no sensor in it. I did however bridge the one I though was the temp gauge (the bottom black one) and got full scale reading on the dash, so that that one. Also I got part numbers off all three sensors as ...

Re: Temp sensors
Cheers, I'll try this first.
I'll give a bit of background to the question, I'm having an issue with overheating, or so the gauge reads. I've changed the expansion cap, top pipe to the expansion bottle and thermostat. Can't see any leaks anywhere, did a compression check, all fine. Checked returns ...

Temp sensors
Just a quick one, there are three sensors on the front of the engine block, in the cooling pipe, one black, red and gray, I think the black one in the bottom is the temp gauge, I assume one of the two on the top is the fan switch (not shore which) but no idea on the third one. Dose anyone know which ...

Accelerator peddle cable bush
Small problem yesterday, happily driving allong and the accelerator peddle disappeared from under my foot, luckily not far from home so rode it slowely back on the manual choke, on removal of the underside of the dash small perished bits of what looks like rubber fell out and it could be seen that ...
