Re: Engine wont start-help
I have had something similar, on my particular issue a thin vacuum hose had popped off that goes between the dizzy and what i think is the brake servo non-return valve, try that if you cant find what i mean i could get a picture for you

Engine wont start-help
Did a two minute journey to the local garage, went inside then started to go to work, suddenly lost power and seemed like it was running on 3 spark plugs, limped towards home pulled over. I left engine running and popped the bonnet to have a look. Within seconds the engine stopped running. Engine ...

Re: Lowered suspension
The creaking will be the suspension bushes. It's not necessarily a problem. Next time you have the wheels off have a look at the condition of the wishbone and ARB bushes. If they're rubber they may well be cracked and soft, in which case get new ones :)

Lowered suspension
The previous owner lowered my scirocco by 40mm but has left original springs on. It is quite hard and the springs creak to be honest when u push the car down. Can anyone recommend appropriate springs please. it currently does not rub wheel arches on full lock and id like to keep it that way

Ive done what you suggested and have been quoted £225 for a complete exhaust from my local Jetex dealer. Sounds a good price to me.
