Re: Scirocco MK2 GTX ABF by gti69
Hey all! Just thought I would say hello. The car is still alive, yet was sitting in the garden for the last few years. I can bet it will start first...or second turn of the key :)

Re: Front anti roll bar on a 16v
I have the same problem on my mk2 with abf fitted. I have 'mounted' a rubber exhaust holder on the anti roll bar and secured it with cable ties. I knew it is not going to last... was ok for a couple of days and then it slide to a side. I think I will just secure the rubber mount/holder with some ...

Rocco back on the road again. Changed exhaust and tidied it up a bit. Had to change number plates as these were faded... and realised the old font was different! Slightly bigger to the new style plates. Will need to look and get the 'old style' ones.

Scirocco MK2 GTX ABF by gti69
Hi all,
One of the few roccos I have is back on the road with a new heart inside (ABF). I got the car 3 years ago I think, 2 owners from new, both in the same family. It is currently sitting on coilovers with 15' TSW allloys. Low and hard, quite fast too ;)

Re: wet floor and sound deadening replacement
Yeah the insurance works quite well in such cases. I had windscreen replaced on my Porsche 944 recently - although it was vandalised.
I need to try to fix it first though before I notice any cracks :)
Cheers,
Tom

Re: wet floor and sound deadening replacement
Thanks guys. We have checked wih my mate today - he was pouring water and I was inside, and then we swapped places just to be sure :)The water was slowly dropping and making its way to the floor inside. If i pulled the seal slightly it was going faster.
I have tried to look under the seal and I ...

Re: wet floor and sound deadening replacement
Old Mac Rocco, how did you go about replacing/fixing them? Can you get them at the dealer or is it possible to use some other rubber pipe in place of them?
I guess that will not be easy job?
Cheers,
Tom

Re: wet floor and sound deadening replacement
Thanks Ben. When I was replacing the dash a year ago or so I have had a look at the screen edges and could not see any rust so I dont think it will be it. Heater matrix hmm dont think so either... I guess pouring the water over car again tonight :)

wet floor and sound deadening replacement
Hi all,
Front driver's and passenger's side on my GTX is all wet. I have removed the carpet last night to try to trace the leak. Will test it today... any chance it could be going through the inner wing (in the car there are holes for it?
Anyway, the fiber type sound deadening is all wet, dampy ...

G-Max? suspension replacable inserts?
Hi all,
One of the inserts in my G-Max? suspension has failed (I believe thats the type of it - yellow with red springs, lowered).
I was wondering if you can get replacement inserts for them or would I have to buy the whole set?
My suspension is something like this:
