repair panels?

Post by vwdeviant »

Are there any commercially available repair panels for the MK2 still about?

Think I may need some arches (from water being trapped under the rubber 'Kit) soon...

Don't think so. Best bet for rear arches is to find a scrapper with decent arches and cut them out to use as repair sections.

MarkH has done this on his Project thread on his GT and Millsy20 aka Rich will be doing the same arch transplant on one of his cars soon too.

There is a chap called deutscheparts on various forums aka Noel who had some rear quarter panels a while back, he could be worth tracking down. He was based in Malvern when i picked some bits off him a while back.

Any other useful places for Rocco bits? Bit of a "Noob" question but looking to get back in Skyrocket ownership after 10 years so my "skills" are a bit rusty!

I sent bigboystoys a message a little while ago and they have genuine VAG rear quater panels in stock but they were ridicularlessly expensive.

I've just bagged myself a brand new pair of genuine VAG "early" (no side repeater holes) front wings on german ebay
275 Euros including shipping!!!
The last ones that my local VW dealers had in stock, according to their computer, were over £500 each :swoon:
Have a look on there, you might find something useful... I spotted a company selling some aftermarket outer sills too.

How ridiculously? I'm debating wether or not to fix up mine, but having real trouble finding good donor arches.

They were about £700 a side. I ended up getting some rear arch repair panels from this guy http://www.sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk/ ... =30&t=6038.
