new engine required :-( mark2 scala

I have had my scirocco since 1998. In fact the beauty is on autotrader at moment, but that's not happening as the engine has seized! 214k on the clock so I guess I cannot complain.

I need your help to source a replacement engine- I don't want to go the expense of a rebuild. I have two mouths to feed now- a corrado so I have to do this the most cost effective way.

Anyone on here sell me an engine for a fair price. I understand mark 2 gold gti engines will almost swop in.

I am very stressed about this sad ending so any help would be much appreciated!

engine no longer available
does anyone know how easy it is to swop a mark 2 golf engine in to a scirocco ( not that I can locate on of them either)
