Re: Top end rebuild. Opportunity for performance upgrades?
Hey, thanks for the link! I had previously seen this manifold before, and was slightly put off by its ebay-ness. Scared to ask my professional mechanic to fit an ebay part :D
maybe I'm just being an idiot and its actually solid though!

Top end rebuild. Opportunity for performance upgrades?
Hey folks. my '92 GTII 8v when in to the garage for a clutch replacement, and as is always the way the guys have found exhaust gasses coming into the coolant and overheating as well as a bunch of seals that have gone. Looks like it's top end rebuild time! While they're in there and have access, are ...

Re: Replacement Fuel Sender Unit
Hey, thanks a lot for sharing this! I did find one in the end from someone breaking an old Scirocco on ebay. I definitely overpaid, but ho-hum. No more fuel leak

Replacement Fuel Sender Unit
Hi All! There's an appalling smell of fuel in the car at the moment, and I've been able to track it back to the fuel sender unit below the rear seats. Mine has fallen to pieces and fuel is actually splashing up and out through a hole in it where a chunk has fallen off! This is clearly no good, and n...

Re: Fuel Filler Cap
Can confirm that the MK1 Golf cap does fit, however, the plastic grip handles around the cap are far too large to site in the filler cap recess. After chopping them all off, it fits. Although, I must have bought a cheap nasty one, as the locking mechanism is garbage. I'm good for now, but if I find ...

Re: Fuel Filler Cap
Trying a mk1 Golf cap I found on eBay. Will report if it's any good or not. The problem I seem to be having with mine is that there are two flanges inside the neck at the bayonet fitting locks against. These flanges stick out too much for most caps I've found so far so the locking pins on the cap ca...

I'm too cheap for a proper re-spray. Anything I can do at home for cheap? My beautiful red Rocco is going pink!

Fuel Filler Cap
Had a new fuel filler neck installed recently that I got from a very helpful guy on this forum. Only problem is, the old fuel filler cap doesn't fit. Seems the opening on the new neck is too tight! The various ones I've found at Euro Car Parts and Halfords are no good either. Anyone got any ideas? I...

Check out www.ignitioncarparts.co.uk
The website is pretty crap, but they've had distributors that I couldn't find anywhere else.

Flange is new in the summer, so hopefully that's good. Also, I now have two filters in line now. Will keep my eye on them
