As in title..
Does an 89 GT have 90mm CV joints?
Just looking at buying hubs to refurbish and replace the ones on car to save time when I plan to do it along with other suspension work.

Think I can answer this now.
The hubs are all standard and I think the same as Mk1 Golfs? Buying any Mk2 Scirocco hubs I should be fine.

Answered incorrectly

two different types of bearing carrier depending on whether the car has 90mm or 100mm cv joints however pretty sure all post 1988 ish cars had the later carriers, way to tell them apart is the later (100mm) bearing housings had a cast bump above the wheel bearing between it and the shock if that makes sense

"From October 1983 and Chassis Number 53 EK 012218, the constant velocity joint of the Golf 1984 will be used.
For this reason the wheel bearing housing was modified."
To identify the later housing, there is a small lug on the underside of the arm that the suspension strut bolts to.
You must match later cv joints to the later wheel bearing housing, but there is nothing to say you cannot have an old setup on one side and a new set up on the other side of the car.
