Radio fitted as standard?

Could anyone with the original manual etc tell me if the Mk2 1.6GT (1988) came with a radio as standard, or whether it was an option? I'm prepping my car for hillclimbing, and I need to know whether or not I can bin it!

They certainly did, they came with a stereo radio cassette with four speakers.
