no one really likes making them up (bogg bros hate it when you ask!!) as inlet ports 2 and 3 are too close together, though some people will do them.
the next problem is that on the rocco the bulkhead is too close, you need about 100mm from head to carb, i never measured mine as i got a 16v engine but all i hear is its too close.
you could cut the top of the bulk head like some peeps do to get the smoothed look?

bogg bros web here http://www.boggbros.co.uk/ they are about 20mins from me if you need help with picking up and droping off ect :)

last time i asked they said they were thinking of doing them but were unsure...

hope that helps :beers:

ask on the mig welding forum. there are several people there building crazy stuff who have made manifolds, so you may well find they'd make one for you in exchange for a few beer tokens

I want to build one that comes over the cam box and drops the boddys to behind the rad. Need to make some dummy pipes up to check clearences.

Ive seen lazer cut flangers (snigger) on fleabay for 10/15 quid

i though about that but i doubt the bonnet would close... and like i said the manifold need to be a certain length, too long and it or too short it gives you more low down torque and too long or short and it give you more top end oooft (i cant remember which way round though  )

I dont think this method would work very well with carbs as your mixing the fuel before the bend... It works ok for injection (KR engine for example) as you've only got the air portion of the mixture turning 180 degrees.
If you tried to do it with carbs - i'd expect you'd get puddling of the fuel and other problems. Plus of where the carbs would have to be located (if you look at the shape of the bonnet you'll see what i mean), i think you'd also be trying to fight the forces of gravity too.
