Triple-gauge Dash Unit

I'm hoping that this month will finally see me with the three VDO gauges that I need to complete my triple-gauge unit addition in my centre console. I'll be using a voltmeter, an oil pressure gauge and an oil temperature gauge.
The next thing I need to know is about senders. The voltmeter sounds simple enough - just grab a feed from the fusebox - but the other two are flummoxing me a little.
Next, the oil pressure gauge - is 5-bar or 10-bar best for a Mk2? I'm assuming that I'll need a sender to attach to the oil filter housing, but what type?
And lastly, the temp gauge - am I right in thinking that I can just put an additional connector on the existing sender in the block, or will I need to add something in there (I've read somewhere about a t-piece)?
The final question is about the loom to light the gauges... I'm not 100% sure on what's required or what goes where.
I guess what I need really is a simple to follow guide on how to set this all up, since I'm a bit clueless when it comes to clocks and meters. Can anyone help me out?
