Scirocco clock differences

Will a set of 2 pin clocks from a mk2 Scirocco GT G-Plate (carb), fit in my GTX C-Plate?
The clocks are different, (My GTX items have the dial MPG (very mk1 golf esq) And the GT clocks look identical to the mk2 gti clocks. Which makes me think they probably won't fit!)

No, as well as the MPG guage you have a gear change indicator and also an MFA. Lovely car you have there, I was so tempted to buy it myself.

Got so many new/powdercoated bits ready to go on cluttering up my living room that i'm gonig to have to fit before my understanding girlfriend leaves me!
Should really update my readers ride section too! - Not enough hours in the day!
I take it if im going to replace the clocks I need a 'like for like' set from another early mk2 Scirocco!?

Yes you will have to look for clocks from 1983 GTI, 1984/5 Storm 1984/1985/1986 GTX 86.
