My clutch seems to slip but not all the time
For every day driving there is no probs
If I drag it off the lights - I mean properly nail it - as long as I get it perfect and get the revs and traction down then again no probs
But if I slip the clutch a little bit too much it seems to carry on slipping
No burning clutch smell at all
Could the cable be sticking and need greasing

Is it worse if you floor it in 4th at a low-ish RPM - 2000-2500 rpm?

Revving in a low gear doesn't put as much strain on the clutch as being under load in a higher gear.

If the cable is adjusted properly, then oil seepage from the gearbox is the most common cause of clutch slip, or a worn clutch (they normally last at least 80k miles. i had an orignal one last over 180k, but that's exceptional - lots of motorway miles). If the clutch is worn, the biting point will be high.

A leak from the rear crank seal can also cause slip, but is less likely than gearbox oil as it leaks behind the clutch pressure plate, whereas the gearbox oil can leak along the input shaft into the middle of the clutch.

check for the bulkhead cracking where the cable goes thru it

It only ever happens in 1st and 2nd when I am racing it from a standing start the slip carries through from 1 st to 2nd
It's only if I get the power balance between wheelspin and bite point wrong.
If I get a perfect standing start then there is no slip at all - its almost as if the pedal gets stuck not the clutch
No leaks and no cracking
Bite point is fine
Clutch is heavy - I can handle the weight fine but at the lights my mates have had to take it outgoing of gear and put the handbrake on
