power steering

hi guys, quick question, theres a mk2 golf in my local scrappy its an auto but the engine so bits look the same. its got power steering pump, pipes and rack all there in one piece. will it fit into a rocko? i cant see why not, but thort i should ask 1st coz the chassis different in the mk2 isnt it?

The only parts what won't fit is the rack and the pipes,all the rest should fit. But I would take the pipes as you may have to cut them to fit becuase you will need the end of the pipe what goes into the pump.

best thing to do is get a corsa c ( i think) electric powersteering collum.
a mate fitted one to a mini, wasn't too bad as i recall.

only seemed a good idea at the time as rack pipes and pump were all up for grabs complete. but as it wont fit im not prepared to bodge it so ile leave it alone.better safe than sorry.

haha, after seing it i did remember reading that in either his project thread or sig :hugegrin:
