Plugs and meanings

Afternoon all,
Right, got the bastard thing running. It starts perfectly everytime but will only run for 30 odd seconds and generally dies if I rev it much. There could be any number of reasons which I'm in the process of investigating (needs a bloody good tune, missing washers and air leaks etc).
Anyhoo,
What I do want to check is that all the plugs in the engine bay are in the correct places. I've looked at a load of pics but most of them still have the sheathing on and it' bloody difficult to trace sometimes. The other "hilarious" issue is that the wiring loom is from an older model and doesn't seem to marry up perfectly so knowing which plug go where on mine (91) scala would be beaut.
For instance, I know that the water bottle is brown and blue/red (working from memory here as it's gashing down) but the plugs are different. Not a big job but I'd like to know what goes where before I go splicing bits in.
Any help mostly appreciated
