Quick ignition amplifier question

I've bought a new one from Eurocarparts - it doesn't have the aluminium heatsink attached, but does dome with a sachet of what I presume is some kind of adhesive.

Am I to assume that I am meant to try to detach the heatsink from the old one and stick it to the new one with the supplied adhesive?

I bet it isnt glue but thermal conductive compound. It will be similar to what you sandwich between a CPU and its heatsink.

It appears that what I have been sent is the wrong part. The original is very firmly riveted to the heatsink.
