Better late than never as they say...

But I thought I should record my progress with the car, which I've had for about 10 months now.

I bought it 4 miles from home and broke down halfway back... A great start! But since then I've worked on it far too much for a daily, spent far too much, and cleaned it far too much too. Has anyone else wandered into Halfords for a new chamois and come out with over £100 of AutoGlym they didn't really need??

Anyone, whats been done...

- Pierburg carb out, Weber in.
- All new fluids and filters (racio=ng brake fluid=amazing!).
- New rear shoes.
- New rear bearings (fronts are next on the list).
- New radio
- Ditched the P Slots for BBS RZs.
- New wishbones.
- New bushes up front.
- Original grill back on.
- Swirl pot.
- Coil pack (twice!).
- All leads.
- Battery.
- Gear linkages.
- Interior trim bits and pieces.
- New rad.
- New fan.

And I think thats it... Not quite the budget car it was meant to be!

Unfortunately I've lost the before photo, but here's some after...

I think that sums it up quite well! The amount of nice machinery you can fly past is amazing... And who knew you only need 90bhp and some terrible tyres to get under 10 min! Next time... Good tyres!
