What to do with 76 shell

Post by mickeymarrows »

I've got a 76 GLi shell. almost completly stripped, still got passenger door and tailgate on it, fuel tank, rear beam and rear lights. Its got no sunroof, but the chassis legs have been removed at the front (it has been used as a doner)

The thing is that its now just sitting there taking space.

Should I chop it up, scrap it as is or try to sell it?

I suppose I could chop the roof off (no sunroof) and sell that, same goes for the door and tailgate. Are there any other sections worth chopping out?

hi is the shell save-able? how much is there cut off? is it just the legs, or the inner wings and strut mounts?

Yeah the front legs, inner wings etc all gone.. used as doner parts on a accident damaged car..

I had every intention of space framing the front and thats why I've kept it, trouble is storage costs me money and I've run out of space..

Don't have one at the moment, its buried under a berg cup kit, two bonnets, a tailgate and about 5 chrome bumpers... and about 5mm of dust!

Sounds like a great race car project for someone... spaceframe FTW...

Or... are Mk2 Rocco or cabby Chassis Legs close enough to be used instead of Mk1 ones.
