Heater Blower

finally gonna have to replace the blower motor 
was just wondering if it is possible to change the carbon brushes in situ as that's all it needs?
i'm dreading the thought of pulling the dash out
but have noticed that some people have managed to do it from the engine side?
any advice welcome
especially if it's an easy way
