Electric windows

How easy is it to fit an electric window kit? was hoping to fit an original one from a scrapper as I'm getting arsed off with the speaker/winder problem.

Bit of a pfaff but it's fairly easy, just get the whole wiring loom back to the fuse box and relay, makes life easier. Don't forget the doorcards as well.

Oh, and mark which one is left and which is right when you take them off.

Hardest part of hte job in all reality is getting the plugs through the rubber grommit tube things in the door.

Top tip though... duct tape your window up and over in the upish position in the door so the glass don't fall when you take the mechanism out ;)
The "upish" position is where you can see two screw heads through the two holes near the top mount screw/bolt. It'll make sense when you do it!

I fitted these last summer and it took about 3 hours. I agree with Funky Diver abouth the grommets. I used my existing door cards and cut the holes for the switches where the winder hole was. Its the same place anyway.
