Got an offer of a great engine but it's running kjet.
Could anyone tell me if it's a viable swap?

What engine is it. What car is it going in?
Digi to Kjet would be a complete change of fuel system - everything except the tank and lift pump, and you might be able to keep or adapt the under-car pipes.

Just seen your point there jake, I'm a moron.
Right, engine is currently the standard 1.8 kjet injection and the engine going in is a mates 1.8 porter and cammed digi jetta lump. My head is cracked and as he's going g60 he's offered his complete lump for less than it would cost to get another k head and have it played with hence why I was asking about whether it's worth the effort
Been piloting a course for the past couple of weeks so my heeed has been somewhat occupied

So it's a Digi engine going in a Kjet car?
You can run them on Kjet too - the injector inserts may or may not fit down the digi injector bores. I had to go with the brass part of the insert only, and knock the 'top hats' off the Kjet injectors to fit down the digi injector bores.
You need to fit your kjet dizzy to it, and manifolds from your current engine. I think that's about it.
Is it based on a 1.8 or a 2.0 block?
Is this the same engine Ben is asking about on CGTI?
Either that, or Megasquirt it (FTW).

Yeah, that's mine.
We'd gone through and cleaned everything down then discovered a lovely hairline crack. A massive pisser and no mistake.

Right now mr funk has confused the crap out of everyone ill chime in
the car is kjet the engine is digi as already said i spoke with mike on clubgti and it looks pretty straight forward to be fair albeit the injector inserts could throw up a few issues
the other issues is the involvement of mr funk who im sure will admit himself he shouldnt get involved it makes things hard
as much as id love to fit megasquirt im not sure the car is ready for that step just yet

It's true.
Interiors, wheels, stereos and other shiny gubbins I can do. Actual relevant mechanics I am stumped on

Having fitted MS to mine, it will make a big difference to the power achieved with the modded engine. Still be a good package on Kjet though, especially if you fit a 16v WUR and fiddle with the fuelling to get it running rich enough.

One more thing - it was also suggested to me that the kjet injectors would fit ok in the digi inserts. I didn't try it, as I had spares, but might be worth a look.
