Hi,

Anyone know where the Ambient Temp Sensor for the MFA is located and which wire should be connected as mine is now reading -40 hence suspect sensor is faulty/damaged or not connected.

MK2 Inj Scala.

Cheers

Think its on the front right, just behind the bumper, or inside the bumper somewhere

It is on the drivers side behind the bumper.

Ian, you live in Glasgow, it is ALWAYS that cold up there, thought you chaps were used to it by now :hehe:

You know it's that cold around here when a lass puts a cardi on to go out... which is never!

Located sensor as per above, the sensor was missing on my new vehicle, replaced with previously working sensor on former vehicle. However MFA still reading -40, despite hard reset via fuse removal.

Have tried sensor both ways round , same same, presume sensor is a thermistor anyone know ? or what voltage should show if meter plugged in place of sensor to check its connected.

try the posative feed wire. there is an open circuit somewhere.the guage reads from-40 to +40.try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, this has worked for me in the past.
