Anyone used to own this?

Hi i am new to the forum and in the process of bringing my first rocco back to life, its a black 1989 mk2, i am pretty sure it is a scala with the ex carb engine
it was imported over here to Dublin in 1995 from the UK and its UK reg was F208MUP?
I know the forum did not start till 96 but it has a club scirocco sticker on it which i am pretty sure is from the scirocco register as it is the colours of the old
forum, otherwise one of the owners from Ireland was a member its irish reg is 89d45313.

Yeah knew was long shot, someone remembering it, but ye would never know unless i asked,
yeah would be interested in checking out shows, not many roccos in the south only seen 2 in the past year,
prob be a month till i get this one back on the road, reckon she has been off the road for a few years.

GTi show castlewellan on saturady 5th July dude, normally only about 8-10 roccos but that's probably the most you'll see gathered in Ireland!!

Cant help but my old red GTII went to Ireland 3 years ago. It was then bought 6 months later by Eamon 1.3. Unfortunately its been sold on now.
Reg is H499 URR, would be nice to know where it is now.

Eamon1.3 had it for a good while and sold it last september, it's new owner was on the old regsiter as BigRed. From what I hear he's looking after it very well

Inkerman says urr wasnt too nice last time he saw it. Think the excitment of running an old car has wore off and maintinance has fell back. Must email the guy to check in, give him a boot up the arse.
On the other hand, if he lets it slip downhill i could buy it back for peanuts
