Just need abit of advice.

My brother has just bought some Porsche cookie cutters for his mk2 rocco and im not sure whether there gonna fit.

There 15x7" with an et of 23 ( i thought it would be around 50 but been told otherwise and cant see it stamped on the wheels)

So the problem is even if we get 15mm adaptors the offset will be et8 which im guessing is gonna be way too low eseccially on the fronts.

Any advice guys?

if you have et23 wheel and put a 15mm spacer, that will make them et38, surely?

I always though the lower the offset the more the wheel would stick out of the arch,so adding a 15mm adaptor to a et23 wheel would lower it to et8 and not et38?

Yeah, I'm with you. The lower the ET, the more poke.

By adding an adaptor/spacer, how are you not altering the ET as your making it poke out more?

ET is the distance from the wheel centre line to the wheel mounting face, measured in millimetres. With positive offset, the mounting face is closer to the outside edge of the wheel. Hence the lower the offset, the closer the wheel is mounted to the centre line, so more 'poke'. Adding a wheel spacer to the wheel makes the effective mounting surface of the wheel closer to the centre line.

Not sure if this will be too low - but I think you can get cookie cutter in the higher (ET 50's) offsets - that might be the best plan...

The wheels are made by ATS i think,gonna have another good look on the wheels,the offset has got be on there somehwere!!

Would prob work on a standard car but look terrible. Look for a set of et50 ones. Non abs 944s come with et23, abs models, all the later ones, have the et in the 50s

My BBS RS033's measured 8x15 et15 all round (rears ran a 5mm spacer to make them et10) with 185/45x15 tyres.
They sat perfectly in my non-bodykitted arches, with the smallest bit of poke. The front arches had their return lips cut off, and the rears were rolled.

So with the 7x15 cookie cutters, you have room for the "slightly" lower offset

It'd be awesome if i ever get the bliddy thing finished and on the road!! lol... 18 months and it's still not even painted
Since i took the pics, the RS's have been (very regrettably!!!!) sold to free up some cash But in the middle of looking at other cool wheels in the same size & offset to replace them with... Rota RB's, Borbet A's, Minilite's, etc, etc

Rolled arches give me a semi. Ag.
