Horn issue.

Post by jimmyconway »

I don't know why but for some reason when I turn the steering wheel 180 degrees in both directions the horn goes off.
Only started today. I've checked to see if the contacts under the horn button were touching when turned but it still does it even when the horn button is disconnected.

WTF?

I've taken the fuse out for now. I have a suspicion that it might be linked to the alarm/immobiliser.

Any ideas?

Yes it works. I've taken the fuse out so no sound now, but I can still here the horn click when turning the wheel.

ive had this happen to me a few times :ire: and it's always been the contact ring under the steering wheel that's loose?

if you take the steering wheel off you'll see a ring with a brass collar in it make sure that it's pushed all the way into the steering wheel and try it from there? :chill:
