mk2 petrol tank

just bought a scirocco, tank is 3/4 full of bad fuel, been in for years, does the tank have a drain plug? or do i have to swollow half of it trying to syphon it out, any suggestions please. :newbie:

There is a rubber connecting pipe from the fuel filler neck to the tank, disconnect that and jack the front up to allow it to drain. Might be worthwhile checking the filler neck at the same time as they are notorious for rotting through.

open the top of the tank (under the rear seat) and to stop yourself getting a gobful, buy one of those jiggle syphon thingies
