270mm Brake Discs
Morning
My car has the TSR 270mm brake conversion and had done for 10+ years but now i need new front discs and am unable to source them from TSR or Black Diamond who were the original suppliers.
Can anyone advise another potential source. Cut down 280 G60 discs perhaps?
I'm only running 14" and will not go to 15" as it kills the handling
Is there another car that has 4 * 100 270mm with the corrct hub offset?
Thanks
Andy

Re: 270mm Brake Discs
Weren't they rumoured to be machined Rover 600 or 800 discs?

What about a 15" wheel with a smaller profile? Personal preference I know but it really doesn't effect the handling. It's amazing what a strut brace can do

Re: 270mm Brake Discs
you can still get them from TSR: http://www.tsr-performancestore.com/tsr ... f-18-p.asp
you may be able to call them and possibly get just the discs? They must get repeat business for new discs rather than resell the complete kit again

They were but all i can find is 285 and 262 for them?filmidget wrote:Weren't they rumoured to be machined Rover 600 or 800 discs?
I had 15" on for 6 months or so a while back with 195/50/15 and the lack of progressive breakaway i found quite annoying. Its grip grip grip, no grip as opposed to grip, grip, gentle 4 wheel drift. I'm braced top n bottom at the front. Personal preference i suspposeMr Funk wrote:?scalainj wrote:

Something tells me that 'I drive like a chuffing girl!' is not 100% trueMr Funk wrote:Ah, this explains why I don't get it. I drive like a chuffing girl!It tends to be grip, grip, grip, lovely sound of tyre on arch, slow down a bit.

Thanks for your help Autoad - Got a set for £140 unfortunately with grooves on but they no longer do plain

Re: 270mm Brake Discs
Coilovers? Dropped as far as possible?
Looks really nice
When i put the coilovers on mine i raised to the point that the wheels would clear the outer lip but they would snag on full lock on the inner liners so i modified them with a hammer
Even on 14"s i get inner rub on extreme lock on nonsmooth surfaces - so roundabouts really but otherwise no touching at all anywhere. Not much travel though

Re: 270mm Brake Discs
Weitecs, dropped about 80/90mm. Too much if I'm honest and it'll go up 10mm this weekend when everything comes off again so I can put the poly goodies on. Poo shields are already gone.
