That's not that small. Mine is 90x90, it's a gif (much smaller than jpg for small pictures) and it comes out at 5.2kb. Just break out the photo editing software :)

Why are pics so small? They're not hosted on the forum, most people have broadband and I bet that nearly everyone is running a screen resolution bigger than 1024x768.

I've now got to resize all of my pics, as 1024x768 has been my default resolution. You can't enjoy a pic that's any smaller than that :beg:

i assume as it was probably one of the reasons the old forum became so slow?

it takes time to resize them etc?

6kb is a little small for an avatar - can this be changed? 90x90 pixels is fine but everyone's got broadband these days, havent they? :)

800x600 is pretty big for a Board, been on club GTI? The rule there is for smaller pics. I'm trying to sort out the thing that makes the software automatically resize the pic for the board, then click to view larger -as, like yourself sir, I do enjoy a good pic at the right size, especially when you start posting up the resto of that lovely GLS. It seems that code is required though, so if somebody can help me out on this one I would be most grateful and we can enjoy pics as they were intended.
