Metal cam belt cover

Hi I wonder if anybody can help me can you put a metal cam belt cover on top of a bottom of a plastic 1 to make it a complate cam belt cover many thanx

This might sound like an odd question, but why would you want to do that other than going concours, but then you'd need it to be all metal surely?
Would you not be better just using an all plastic cam belt cover?

Hi well i the cables are wearing the top of ours and it is the second 1 i have had on there, i will polsh up the metal 1, why do you know were i can get a whole new metal cam belt cover from?

You can - as I have metal covers on both my GTX's, with plastic lowers, but the design of the plastic lower may be different for the top plastic cover.

ok i see well this 1 is to fit a mk 1 golf or 2 iam thinking it will be best to get a full metal cam belt cover for her this is what i have decided to do now..
