Technically you can, but then you spend 5 hours trying to polish the strap marks out of hte paint work... so it get it's revenge

odd one this...says it's a GTX but it's carb'd. i wonder if it's an Irish spec thing. Or....the wrong badge!

What year is it? I expect it's just had a replacement badge/tailgate at some point. Looks like a GTII with the badges removed from the B-pillar to me.

Although from what I can see the upholstery looks a bit GT. Same as my 89 GT (when it had the original seats in it)

I think it's got black bumpers/ body coloured kit like a late GTX. And (I may be talking crap here) it looks like the seats have quite prominent bolsters as well. The GTX had a carb in Germany, it was just a trim option as opposed to an engine/trim option like in the UK. maybe that's it. I can't believe I'm going to all the trouble of hypothesising abut somebody else's car.

Well actually the seats are out of my spares car (i bought a 2nd in the deal) but everything else is as it should be my thinks :)

All GTX's were injection, even in Germany!
I'd expect that a previous owner wanted the kudos of having the top model.

I think the engine code should give some clues as to carb/fuel injection spec.
