Does anyone have any experience of using a specialist company to restore a car for them?
My mk.I's been sat in the garage since I picked it up in January and nothing has happened to it save for me getting the engine running. If I'm going to see it running before all the petrol runs out, I think I'm going to have to pay someone else to do the job for me.
I don't really see that a VW specialist is necessary, I'd rather it was done by someone who is a first rate restorer and I'm willing to pay for the job to be done properly rather than cheaply.

I believe Kingfisher Customs are still running, saw them mentioned recently in one of the air cooled mags.

As in the ones next to GSF in Smethwick? I believe they are too. Always thought they only did air-cooled stuff tho?

I had a look at their website and it does say air-cooled only. Thanks for the leads so far.

Seriously, try Volksmagic mate. Google will bring up contact details. If you ever watched that Beetle Crisis program on Discovery, they were the company that sorted that car out.
