When I apply the brakes fluid blows back through reseviour filler cap 
any ideas guys? M O T tomorrrow evening

is the brake fluid level below maximum?

Cheers for the rapid reply Nate.Turns out my fear off stripping the threads on the master cylinder led to one of the pipes not being quite tight enough 
this meant air was being sucked back into the system
