Can anyone recommend something to clean the paint work before sticking trim on please, as it says no silicon or grease on the paint work, cheers Bill

Hey Bill, probably best to give it a once over with a clay bar. Nothing lifts off dirt and contaminat like they do bud :good:

Failing that, maybe an alcohol based cleaner?

Ive used Panel wipe in the past Bill, its a bit like thinners, only it wont damage the paint. Its used by bodyshops and the like to clean surfaces of dust and grease before new paint is applied. Most car shops or car paint shops will sell it.


Don't ask me....it was like that when i got here !

Same here... and a £10 tin will get you about 5 litres of the stuff which will last FOREVER!! Much better value than anything you can get from Halfords and the like.
