75/76 mph, can i change the gear drive thingy on the end of the speedo cable its a red on at mo just wondered if i could changeto a another vw to suits one that is for 15inch wheels.

speedo gear change
right peeps am running 14/15 inch wheels not the standed 13inch wheels and by my gps am doing 5/6 mph over so say am doing 70mphn the clock is showing

As long as you're fitting the correct size tyres, the speedo wont be too far out.
They pretty much always read faster than true-speed (up to around 10% I'm told). I wouldn't waste time swapping speedos around as you won't get any more accurate.

I compared the speedo with the Satnav, it was about 10% under what the speedo was reading, both my Sciroccos are the same and they are standard!
Funnily enough the A4 is right on the button.

I would just live with it mate - most older cars tend to be over optimistic with the MPH figures.
