Speedo change... no fuel guage?

Post by vwjohn81 »

I have just changed my instrument panel on my mk2 scala for a mk2 golf GTI... it is the correct one so I believe.... 2pin with MFA *140MPH clock*

Everything works ok except I have no fuel gauge.

I dont think my original one has a fuel gauge vacuum tube - certainly didnt take it off while removing it and the golf one doesn't seem to have anywhere to put one?

Any ideas if this is gonna be a speedo fault, wiring loom difference or just the wrong unit?

Cheers
John

Hey - its the fuel level..... think I have found the problem but not had time to sort it - the connections on the loom to the instrument panel are in a slightly different order than my original unit - so think gonna have to move the wires.
