Well my new manifold arrived today and i have got to say i am pretty impressed with it. It didnt however come with a gasket. Does it need one or not or could i use the old one? Also, where the connector pipe joins onto the middle pipe how am i supposed to secure it? Its just a straight piece of pipe. Will it need welding? Thanks

yes, it will need a gasket between the manifold and the head. best to use a new one, they're not expensive.
normally where exhaust sections join, there will be one part that is just plain pipe and the other part will have been flared so they fit one inside the other. you then put a clamp round to secure it. if both parts are just plain pipe of the same size, you'll need a collar that goes over them and secures with 2 clamps. don't forget to put exhaust paste round the inside of the joint before you assemble it so it is gas-tight
