Project Vr6

Well here goes will post up pics and details as i get on with project,will be up grading brakes,electric assisted steering,and the VR6 conversion possibly with a twist? . The start remove the engine, gearbox ,rad , driveshafts and give the engine bay a quick jet wash .Image

Thanks for replies,just picked up handbrake cables ready to convert rear brakes to discs,and new brake pipes ,will post some more pics up when i have got some more done ,Cheers Paul

Mocked up engine and box in the car this morning,to see what needs moving etc.The engine needs to go to the o/s by around 2/3" this will happen as soon as i cut the mounting bracket off the chassis.I am off the old school check double check then cut .Image

Been busy and removed the interior ready for the storm interior i have ,and also as a precaution for some welding it will require,rear drum brake assemblys removed ready for disc conversion,dirverside engine mounting removed from chassis to allow alignment of engine and gearbox to scirocco driveshafts with only the inner joint needing swapping over ,much to my amazement,Next engine mount fabrication Image

Thanks James. Well the drive shafts are sorted ,been busy collecting bits for the car including corsa electric power steering,all the bits for disc brake conversion for the rear,new fuel lines ,clutch fluid res ,mastercylinder and servo,fuel pump ,rear section of wiring loom and tank,and loads of silly odds ,Will post some pics up soon Cheers Paul
