Rear Cycle Carriers

Post by goaferboy »

Anyone fitted one to a Scirocco before? How well do they fit around the spoiler (No I won't go spoilerless before anyone mentions it! The spoiler makes a nice bench!). Are they nice and gentle on the car or do they damage parts over time?

I'm looking at this one since it seems to be held high enough to keep my lights visible. Hopefully I can get one to fit so the bike is held parallel to the rear window, almost like it's on the roof. I only really want to use it for shows and things since I went to the effort of painting a bike to match the car over a year ago and have never used it! Would also be helpful to take my other bike places for a lovely ride in different scenery.

The bike in question (project Bernard):
