I saw a black 1976 (single wiper) MK1 TS Automatic today in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, followed the car to Cookham village where it pulled into a garage. Got talking to the elderly chap and his wife, they have owned the car since 1982 and was brought originally from our local VW dealership RyeMill, High Wycombe. The car was in fair condition, it had been painted here and there with a bit of welding in the front inner wing (standard for model), he wants me to find him a rear bumper, ill add that to my list of chrome bumpers wanted!!

How spooky, I was reading through some old copies of VW Audi magazine, in the August 1998 edition there is a feature on a 76 TS automatic that lives in High Wycombe, it was a girl who is a pilot in Africa, who owned it. Maybe it is the same car and it was her parents you were speaking with???
