They do a stainless system for the mk1 golf. It can be modified to fit the later chassis mk2 Scirocco, but it'll need some stainless welding. I was going to sell them for a while, but thought it an unfair amount of work for the casual DIYer.

Tom, Jetex stuff is OK bud, their tag line is "the quiet performer" or words to that effect, won't be a chav sound at all bud. Had Jetex on two previous VWs and considered it for my current one, untill I shopped elsewhere as I fancied a change.
Fantastic family run business too, very helpfull people.

Have had a Jetex on my Scala since '05. Noisy yes but in a good way - and much nicer looking than the Supersprint I put on the BRM car at the same time.

got it on today, turned out to be mild steel as stated by previous reply. good quality exhaust though and sounds quite nice, not too loud with a bit of a rumble to it.

They're very civilised - mine scores 80-85 dB at trackday noise tests. It's almost embarrasingly quiet. I might take the middle box out and save some weight ;)

Does the Jetex have "markings" on them anywhere to identify it?
I have a twin outlet pipe on mine, just not sure of the make, it's blowing just in front of the back box (minor hole, meh) and I'm in two minds to just weld it up or replace when I do my engine upgrading. It's indeed quiet and makes a nice burble at the right moments :)

Measure the diameter of the pipe going into the back box. The Jetex twin pipe back box is huge there, advertised as a 2.5" system but I recall it was closer to 3" there.

All the Jetex stuff I've seen is stamped 'Fabrikat Ray' on the boxes (the manufacturer who actually makes them).

Stuff I sell says "Simons" on the box
