I have a head light problem..

Checked the bulb and fuses and everything is fine.
It has just passed MOT 2 weeks ago so i am totally confused as to what has happened here..

my clock seems to suddenly not keep time either.. which was also fine before MOT

any suggestions..

ok so i have narrowed it down a little bit ....
the light / bulb works on full beam only.. !

what exactly is the problem? could do with a bit more info...

main light doesn't work on offside
full beam works though
sidelight works
indicators work
bulb works in other head lamp
no fuses ( that i can find ) are broken

Maybe the dip beam filament has blown. Swap the bulb to the other side of the car and see whether it works there. If not, then you need a new bulb.

bulb works fine in other side

Loose connection / damaged wiring on that side?

that would seem the obvious thing to me also but couldn't see anything odd.
maybe a vault meter is the way forward ?

check the contacts inside the conector haven't gone green and furry

i'm assuming you mean it keeps resetting itself to midnight?

check the earth connections next to the use box. make sure that all spade connectors are secure and free from the green furr, then look for any sign of corrosion on the metal they attach to, finally, tweek the central screw a bit tighter

I had same problem with my headlight - it was the fuse spades corroded.

One way of checking this is to swap the 10A fuses over in positions 21 & 22 on the fuse box, this controls the low beam left and right side.

If its the fuse, the problem will swap sides - I just rubbed my fuse spades down with some sand paper to get the corrosion off (did the trick) :

God knows about the clock tho - my MFA dont work properly anyways lol
