How rare are these? and what are they worth? Just wondering.

In the UK, very rare!!!! If you want some look over the pond to Uncle Sam!!! :hugegrin: although alot of the US ones ive seen were glued shut along time ago, wind noise etc, still very cool though, id like a set :hugegrin: Worth????

They're pretty rare in the US, and a set in good condition is rare amongst those. The rubbers seem to perish really badly, and it's a very complex moulding, so reproduction is uneconomical. the fittings, hinges and latches are the same as the mk1 golf quarter glass though, so if you can find rubbers, you could build up a set, assuming you can find the glasss. Not sure how common they are in Europe, but I'd have thought they would have been offered, so it's worth a try.

My friend in LA made replacement glass for his from perspex, warmed in the oven over a stock quarter glass to take the curved shape.
