A leak!!!

As the title says, I have a leak in the Scala, and to be honest it is really p***** me off, I have checked all the usual suspect places and simply can't find the culprit! There is no "wet" trail to be found anywhere!
It is only behind the drivers seat, I first thought the sunroof seal so that was replaced with a real VW item, but it is still leaking. This weekend whilst I was back in Durham, driving my superdry Storm, the Scala has managed to gather 15mm of water!!!
If anyone wants to help me solve this issue feel free to PM me, I am that sick of it I will make it worthwhile for someone.
I have this car in Essex

Hi Ian
when you say the usual suspects do you mean the boot lock seal and the badge clips?

sunroof drain channels - the sunroof seal isn't there to keep the water out, it's is just to stop wind noise
rear lights, badges, bootlock, boot seal etc. is there any water at all in the boot or the wheel well?
door drain holes blocked or plastic sheet damaged

Hi Ian, Badge gromits and rear lights was my problem. Water gets in, rolls along channels on top of where spare wheel is and down into rear footwells. Solved by new badge gromits and silicon sealant around them when fitting badges and resealing lights. Parking with bonnet uphill helped a bit before fixing it.

I have the same issues. When you resealed the rear lights, what exactly did you do, as this is where i expect my trouble is..... Hope this is not a really stupid question!!!
Cheers

Dryed a bit more out this evening after work, just what you need after a hard days graft and in the dark!
I really can't see where the water is coming in, blown out and poured water down the sunroof drains, it seems to flow fine, renewed the boot lock gasket and the boot is dry, the car is parked on the level. The door panels look like they have never been off as the screw caps are still in place, but I will check at the weekend when I can see!
I will also look at the lights, and reseal with some clear bathroom sealer.
My offer still stands, I will make it worthwhile for someone to solve

One of my many leaks has come into the cabin on the driver's side bottom corner of the windscreen, around the metal structure the dash end bolts to, down the door pillar behind the carpet and sound proofing and into the driver's footwell where it was lovingly soaked up by the sound proofing and carpet there until it reached saturation point.
Stripped everything out and after a particularly heavy rainstorm I found about 1cm of water in the front and rear footwells on drivers side.
Another one a couple of years ago was the boot seal itself letting water past at the top, running down the c pillar behind the vinyl, onto the speaker shelves, off those into the boot, then forward under the rear seat again into the footwells.

Hi all
I've just opened the Rocco's doors this morning, after a hard frost and some rain, and noticed that the drivers side floor is soaked! Its under the dash, toward the pedals. The rest of the car is bone dry?!
The water can't have dripped down from the dash, as its further under, and the dash is dry.
I've checked the door seals, and they all seem fine.
My Rocco is a '91 GT2 if that helps.
Anybody had this problem? Or know anything about it?
Thanks in advance
Phil

Wetness update!
I have found the source of the leak. Under the plastic scuttle cover there was a crack in the plate, the water was going through a split in the plastic scuttle cover and running through the crack and into the drivers side through a clutch cable repair weld, so bizarre. I have rmoved all the unfelt as it was stinking, will renew will some decent sound deading material.
Anyway, think I have sorted it now with sealant around the crack, jobs a good un!!!!
I now want to get a new scuttle cover, if I still can? Will put an ad in the wanted section.

I told you it wasn't the sunroof seal !!!
Off topic, did you get the vacuum hose?

Got the little vacumn hose, all fitted mate.
I also fitted the new dizzy cap and rotor arm that picked up at the dealers, running nice.
