Fuel tank querey

Hopefully this will be pretty straight forward for someone to answer. I'm replacing the fuel tank and I just need to know about the two fuel lines that are attached to (what I think is) the lift pump. As well as two lines, there is an electrical connection which I am assuming as the supply to the pump. Before I go chasing the lines all around the car, I thought I'd see if anyone could tell me straight off?? As far as I'm aware, there only needs to be one fuel line from the tank to the main pump??
Thanks in advance

Carb or injection?
One fuel line will go to the pump, the other will be the return line.
If you have a lift pump, then you will have electrical connections to power the pump and also for the fuel gauge sender. If no lift pump, then you will just have wires for the sender.

She's a carb. Of course! I don'tknow why I didn't think of the return line
Well, there is just one pair of wires which I first assumed to be the sender for the fuel guage, but I was told it was for the lift pump (so I bought a Facet pump to replace that). If it turns out I don't need the Facet then people will start dying, because waiting for that has already cost me one track day
Thanks for the info, tho. I will install the pump and see what happens
