Scirocco Register

lads, i bought a lowered suspension kit off fleabay for my 81 scirocco.i also bought new top mounts.now here is my question,i dont know whether to go the whole hog and buy polybushes or just buy oem bushes?i read an article on another website about a guy that went down the lowered susp/polybush route and he said the ride was too harsh . so wud i be better off sticking with normal bushes? i am talking about wishbone bushes and the dreaded rear axle bushes.

Depends... if you just want a car that will have a nice ride for normal road use, then brand new OEM bushes will be perfect; replacing nearly 30-year old rubber with new would make a huge difference.

If you want to stick it on a track and have the best handling possible, then polybushes would be the way to go.

no it will never see a track,i would be afraid i would damage it! just light road use during the summer,if we ever get one,that is! thanks for the advice.
