Spent a hr on it tonight and eventually got it running even tho it wont idle so carb off for a clean tomorrow. also took a rag and litle compound to moss and under it paint was good.

Odd patch of rust on lower doors and front of bonnet, so as i own a bodyshop i will be giving it a full respray in same colour, aprat from that and 1 snapped spring it seems ok :)

shall keep thread updated and restore it to its former glory :)

and my other dub :) corrado

Welcome dude.

A little G3 and that will look a gazillion times better. Always good to see a Scirocco saved from the jaws of death.

I'd have left the moss on. No one would mess with you if you drove a car that looked like that! Hard as nails. Although the police pulling you over to try and prove it's unroadworthy every 5 minutes would probably get tiresome.

And I think the internet equivelant of a handshake is in order for saving a Scirocco.
