Hi every body I have just had a webber carb and k and n air fillter fitted to our mk 2 1800 8v gt 2 91 rocco i just wonderd after looking on here and the web which i can not find the answear, how much BHP more does it give the car 20 ,25 ? many thanx.

Used to have the same set up on my old green car.
To be brutally honest the increase is fairly minimal although once it's properly set up you'll get a better pick up through the gears.

yeah i do just we are with brent car insureance in wales and they are chargeing as on bhp cuss the gt 2s are 95 bhp standard, and i have a webber carb with k and n fillter on the top of it, and alloy stanless steel back box and k1 recing leads with bosh electric spark plugs 20,000 mile change 1s from gsf £12.95p 1s.and that is it

personally i'd describe it as a standard replacement part. no different to fitting ngk plugs instead of bosch ones

as the learnéd mr funk already said, the power increase is neglegable. i'd be surprised if you saw more than a few horsepower extra at the wheels. describe it as a "standard replacement part"

when you mention weber carb, most people will instantly think of DCOE 40s, which will present a notable improvement in performance if properly set up, and therefore would make your car a greater insurance risk

ok i have sorted it out guys, our car was on 110 bhp on our insurnce before we put the webber and k and n box air fillter, they are 95 bhp standard the gt 2s which they set for us, the only other thing we have differnt on it is a alloy stanless still back box which will not incress it much if not nothing a tool, so i have got a refund from my car insurnce for paying to much when we fitted this, and no it is not been put on a rolling road, our machnic just set it up then re set after a week, she runs fine Gracey after i let her warm up in this cold weather, ok many thanx for all your help and surgetings, any eles please let me know your thoughts.

They are 90hp standard. Weber would give you a few, back box none, and the filter could kill it a bit?

oh i allways thought they were 95 bhp, i tought the k and n would give it more bhp along with the webber carb.
