there's only 1 way to find out. you're going to need to get under it with a torch and see. i'd guess that if it is on the passenger side it'll either be the tank, sender to tank seal or the lines right as they come out of the tank, and the fuel is running accross and dripping down. you may also find it useful to remove the botom of the rear seat then open the round inspection hatch.

or ring your breakdown club and get them to come look at it

I had a fuel leak somewhere so found a friendly garage and got them to put it in the air for me (cost me a couple of pints!).
My fuel lines were shot and the tank had seen better days! Only one thing for it, fuel lines from Crazy Quiffs £129, tank from GSF £130 and a fuel filler neck from Craig on here (priceless!).

Better safe than sorry mate.

How full was the tank? Perhaps a breather pipe has popped off the tank and fuel is escaping from the tank. More common than you might think!

If not, check your tank thoroughly, the larger Mk2 55 litre tanks can rot along the seams allowing petrol to escape. Not good next to a hot exhaust!

Also check the boot that conects filler neck to tank in addition to suggestions from other posters above.
