alarm fitting questions

i've just fitted a simple central locking alarm to my car and it's all good, apart from i'm not sure where to connect the wires for the light flash on arm, disarm. there's 2 wires coming from the alarm designated for lights, both positive, i'm presuming i just have to intercept each front indicator light but not sure which wire to conenct to. any suggestions? i'm guessing i could also connect to the hazards relay, but the alarm has a flashing relay built in, so this may not work.
i fitted central locking motors too, and am really chuffed that it's all worked as it should so far! definitely worth an afternoon fiddling about to save 150 quids worth of fitting!

the go to the +ve connection on the indicators, one for the left one for the right. when i fitted mine i went for the wires to the side repeaters, as they are easy to get at and near where my alarm was fitted. make sure there is a fuse between the existing wiring and the alarm. if a bulb should blow and go short circuit (not common but does happen) it will just pop the fuse instead of your alarm ;)

Also, make sure that when you indicate the alarm feeds are on separate circuits or you'll be constantly flashing your hazard lights instead of signaling.......
not that thats how mine ended up the first time

so do i just patch them in directly behind the front indicators? there's a couple of wires coming from each, and i'm not sure which is +

ive got this all set up and working now, just need to get the boot sensor working. the wire is connected to the boot light switch which works fine, but it doesnt want to set off the alarm when its opened. the connection is marked as "-" so do i need to invert it with something? surely it would just go off when the boot was closed if it was - rather than +?

the boot light switch is the -ve for the light. when you open the boot it connects the wire to earth. have you tried just shorting the wire to earth to see if the alarm goes off? could just be a dicky switch

still having problems. can't seem to get the - switch on the doors, or the - switch for the bonnet or boot to work. doesn't seem to set the alarm off no matter what i connect them to. very confused. any suggestions? the + door switch seems to work fine.
