i've started making it a little less ratty, i've finished tidying the roof up and i've painted it matt black for now
i've also bought a welder this week end and started learning how to use it lol, i started off by knocking up a side exit
and then today i had a go at some of the body work, i started with the hole in the wing where the aerial used to go, it had been filled with filler which had cracked all the way around, when i knocked the filler it and cleaned it up it looked like this
i cut all the crap out and welded another peace in and blended it in with the grinder
then gave it a skim of filler, smoothed it off then gave it some rust proofing and a lick of paint
i can't believe how much fun i had doing this, can't wait to get on it again next weekend really get stuck into the body work

Evening!
Ah havent been on here for a few nights!
Yes 'twas a good deal guy, thats looking a little different!
Dodgy "smart reapir" on the wing though
Yellow? Ive only ever seen one yellow mk 1 storm with a black interior!
Filler wise, yes whoever put that peugeot 205 GTi electric glass sunroof in the top of the rocco should be shot, and the person that put a brock through it and the perosn who tried to bolt a capri bonnet on it! weird or what?!
A good shell, solid in all the right places.
Time for all the mk 1's in my life just wasnt possible, he says, getting rid of a rocco for a rocco, hmm go figure
Kind regards
SSF

they tried to put a capri bonnet on it? lol .the roof has turned out really well considering the story it has to tell, although i can't take the glory for that as you had done all the hard work on it
also do you have any use for the chrome trim from the sill and door bump stops (possibly from around the windows to as i'm not sure i'm going to be putting this back on after the respray, if i decide its not going on you can have it if you like mate?

this week i have been mostly working on the drivers door, which turned out to be a lot worse than it looked, and it looked pretty bad lol
i've only got photo's of the work i've done at the bottom of it but that was the worst part any way, i'd already sorted the bit along where the window goes...
after knocking all the old filler out i was left with this

cut out the shit and took it back to the metal and slapped some kurust on

after a lot of welding

bit of filler

then primer baby
only took 3 days to get to this stage, this car could take a lot longer to get sorted than i thought lol

now xmass is out the way and the weathers starting to get slightly better i've been able to get one with his ago, and over the break i've had from it the plans have changed dramatically lol
i've started by ripping the gti lump out ready for it's new engine, i'll be picking that up on the 20th..
i've had a little play with painting the boot lid, gonna give it a buff up and see how it comes up, if it comes up well then the rest of the car will be done like it..
i've also got one of the wings off so i can sort out some rust on that, i'll also have to sort this out too..
things should be moving very quickly over the next month and i should have a pretty big update next weekend

Looks cool, the bodywork is coming along well :)
But, please don't say that you jack the car up by the wishbones
